Balsham Review

The Balsham Review is a magazine that is produced to serve the South Cambridgeshire parish of Balsham. Over 800 copies of the magazine are printed each month and are distributed free to all Balsham households.
The Review is produced by a committee of voluntary Balsham residents who give their time freely every month to create and distribute an interesting and informative magazine with regular reports from village groups and contributors. It is also an invaluable way to advertise events both in the village and the local area.
History of the Balsham Review
The Balsham Review was the idea of Reverend Jack Hunter, who was vicar of Balsham at the time, to provide both interesting and informative reading on village and church matters and to be delivered free to every household in Balsham. It was first produced in January 1969 in black and white on a hand operated Gestetner duplicating machine, and later by photocopier, and was collated by hand by a group of volunteers.
In more recent years colour pages were introduced and the magazine is now professionally printed and collated by E & E Plumridge at Linton and distributed free to over 800 Balsham households. This is made possible by the income generated by our increasing number of advertisers and from February 2016, we have been able to produce a separate Advertiser’s Directory to be distributed quarterly with the Balsham Review and also feature our advertisers on this website.
