Eccentric, widowed lottery winner Charles Heath (Tim Key) living alone on the remote Wallis island off the coast of Wales tries to make his fantasies come true by getting his favourite musicians to perform at his home.
Musician, Herb McGwyer (Tom Basden) – half of former folk duo McGwyer Mortimer – arrives but is surprised by the arrival of Nell, the other duo member (Carey Mulligan) and new husband.
Charles is thrilled to have reunited the duo, but tensions flare and relations are complicated by Amanda a single mother who runs the island’s only shop!
