Pump Track Survey

Kate Martin and Gen Blackwell, parents of teenage children in Balsham approached the Parish Council to see if they would allow for some land to be used for a ‘pump track’. The PC agreed to provide some land on the Lower Recreation Ground if most of the costs could be covered by grants and other funding.

A pump track, as you might know, is a narrow-looped path with a series of undulations and banked curves. They are generally built with tarmac and gravel which minimises maintenance.

There are several children who really enjoy cycling and we often meet fellow villagers at the various pump tracks in the surrounding villages.

A pump track can be used for any age group and is suitable for bikes, scooters and skateboards.

Please can you complete the survey online, or there will be a paper copy in the next Balsham Review and the surveys can be returned to a box labelled Balsham Pump Track in Balsham Post Office.

The survey results can be anonymous and will be used to gauge the opinion of residents and apply for grant funding.
